Group Fitness Certification
The group fitness instructor of today teaches much more than just "aerobics classes" as in the past. For the Aerobics Instructor program, you'll learn how music can make your classes exciting. Review proper exercise form and body alignment, benefits of aerobic training, choreography techniques and cueing/teaching skills. Learn how to teach the newest trends in group aerobic fitness.
For the Step Instructor program, you'll learn how to apply the techniques of teaching aerobics to step training and its specific choreography and cueing demands.
For the Aerobics Instructor program, you'll understand and learn to apply and determine:
- Components of a total fitness exercise programming.
- Components of aerobic fitness training.
- Safety variables and methods for injury avoidance.
- Mechanics involved in maintaining proper posture.
- Various warm up movements and limbering exercises.
