NAFC established the Not Forgotten™ Scholarship Program to help transition military personnel into a rewarding career following their deployment.

Once enrolled in the Not Forgotten™ Scholarship program, NAFC will educate, train and mentor military students and veterans so that they have the practical knowledge and skill-set to build rewarding careers as Certified Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Nutrition Coaches, Pilates Instructors, Wellness Consultants, or a combination of the above.

Who qualifies?

The Not Forgotten™ Scholarship Program is available to all active, reserve and retired Military personnel and immediate family members above the age of 18.

Once you are approved, the Not Forgotten™ Scholarship Fund will cover 100% of the expenses for all NAFC course material, excluding certification exam fees.

In addition, all active duty, reserve, veterans, and eligible spouses and dependents can receive reimbursement from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs through the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill for fees associated with our NAFC Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Nutrition Coach, Pilates Instructor and Wellness Consultant exams.

How Can I Apply for Reimbursement?

After earning your NAFC certification, visit the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill website and click on the Apply for Benefits icon.

  • Complete the Veterans Online Application (VONAPP)
  • You’ll need to include the following:
  • Full Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Home Phone Number
  • Social Security Number
  • VA File Number (if different from your SSN)
  • Name of NAFC Certification You Earned
  • Date of NAFC Certification Exam
  • Cost of NAFC Certification Exam (as listed on the NAFC website)
  • Copy of Your Exam Results or a Copy of Your NAFC Certification
  • Name and address of Organization Issuing License:
